Pakistan and India both nations came neck to neck in the beginning of the Month of May, 2025. This conflict ignited because of the Pahalgam Attack on 22nd, 2025. Soon, after the attack happened the Indian Government suspected Pakistan and marked the whole Pakistani Nation responsible for this. According to sources, the Indian Media started to produce the AI generated photos and videos and telecasted live. This caused so much hype and the entire region became so hot in terms of a possible war. This is because any war between two nuclear states could escalate to a nuclear conflict.
Pakistan Offers India a Joint Investigation of the Pahalgam Attack
Meanwhile, the Pakistani Foreign Office Spokesman urged India to provide proof and hold a joint investigation. This was seeming as a positive gesture from the rest of the world. The reason was simple if such independent joint investigation could happen then any clouds of any possible nuclear war dissipates. Social Media sources claim that India tried to target the mosques which were located in the civil population. Mainly these were located in Muridke, Punjab and Bahawalpur, Punjab, Pakistan. India claims that all the attacks on their soil were planned or executed through the militants sitting in these locations. India postponed the attack because of the certain climatic issue. Later India targeted 9 different spots both in Pakistan mainland and the Pakistani Administered Kashmir.
During this attack India used Brahmas missiles and Rafael planes as well. According to Pakistan electronic media, Pakistan shot down 5 Indian Jets Including 3 Rafael Jets on the Mid Night of 6th and 7th May 2025. This actually shocked the world, the way the Pakistan Air Force defended their land. The resilience and accuracy they showed was remarkable. The skills were exceptional. This is because the Pakistani Air Force claims that they targeted Indian Rafael from their land and they shot down the Jet from the distance of 180 KM or 98 Nautical. The entire world was shocked, even France who manufactures the Rafael Jets which also accepted the Pakistani claim. This boosted the morale of the Pakistani Air Force and the military. This event caused too much loss to India both militarily and foreign policy wise as well.
The Situation Becomes Worse With Indian Attack on Nur Khan Airbase
Next day, India attacked Pakistan’s major city, Lahore with drones and they even attacked Bahawalpur, Sialkot and other important cities as well. Pakistan just defended their land and people during this time. Indian Media was acting so non-professional and unethical during the whole phase. They created hype and hypnotized their public with wrong claims. Even at one point one of the news channels claimed that the Indian Navy had attacked Lahore. This is too ridiculous to say because Lahore does not have any coastline. Even before making such claims they could cross check the Google Maps but you know that a guilty conscience needs no accuser. Later, India could not prove all her claims. On 9th and 10th May 2025, India started to attack Pakistan’s Nur Khan Airbase which is just miles away from Pakistan Army’s Headquarter.
At this point of time, Pakistan’s DGISPR held a press conference and said, “Now wait for our response”. In the dawn of May 10th,2025 Pakistan Launched its Operation to retaliate the Indian attack and this was named as Bunyan-UL-Maroons. Pakistan targeted many Indian defense sights and reportedly three Pakistani jets entered India and destroyed the Indian S400 defense system. One more Indian Jet shot down the same day according to media reports.
India was showing restraint to accept this but now Indian Chief of Defense Staff General Anil Chauhan accepted that India had to bear the loss in the conflict.
In an interview with Bloomberg correspondent on Saturday i-e 31st May, 2025 accepted that India had to bear the loss but he refused to tell the exact number of jets that were lost in the conflict. According to CNN,if Pakistan was correct in its claim that “six Indian jets” were downed, Anil Chauhan, the chief of defense staff of the Indian Armed Forces, initially denied the veracity of the claim, stating: “Absolutely incorrect and that is not information which, as I said, is important.” But he went on to say that “what is important is why they went down,”
Indian General Words Solidifies Pakistani Claim
If we analyze General Chauhan’s statement being non-partisan then it is verily clear that they lost jets. Now, this statement of him is giving weightage to Pakistani claims because initially India denied these claims. This is due to the claim of India that they did not allow France to monitor the squad. Now, the question arises that will France use its diplomatic power to visit the Airbases of India to count the Rafael? If so then what would be the possible time for this visit because the world wants to know the reality.
Pakistani Social Media claims that during the course of the war an Indian Pilot Shivangi Singh was arrested by Pakistani Forces. According to reports She is the only female Indian Pilot to fly the Rafael Jets. In spite of the fact that DGISPR nullifies this claim, the Pakistani Social Media is still claiming the same and asking Indian Media to produce the Pilot Shivangi. This is making the situation of the region serious and any possible conflict may arise in the near future.
